A Low-Cost Closed-Tube Method for Detection of Adulteration in Ground Meat
نویسندگان
چکیده
The increased public concern about adulteration and mislabelling of meat products has fueled a need for the development fast, reliable, cost-effective species detection methods. Hence, we developed high resolution melt analysis (HRMA) discrimination commonly used in industry their possible adulterants. A universal primer pair spanning ⁓238 bp fragment mitochondrial 16S rRNA gene was designed to perform HRMA. workflow validated on standard samples, ternary mixtures eight different species, 56 commercial samples. Distinct melting profiles were generated each several mixtures, food assay sufficiently sensitive detect 0.003 ng/µl DNA every targeted species. In short, HRM is rapid, cost-effective, efficient system confirmation origin.

A CLOSED FORM SOLUTION FOR FREE VIBRATION ANALYSIS OF TUBE-IN-TUBE SYSTEMS IN TALL BUILDINGS
In this paper the dynamic response of tube-in-tube systems for tall building structures is investigated. Inner and outer tubes are modeled using equivalent continuous orthotropic membranes; in which, each tube is individually modeled by a cantilever box beam. By applying the compatibility conditions on deformation of the two tubes, the governing dynamic equations of the tube-in-tube structure a...
متن کاملCurrent Development for the Detection of Meat Species Adulteration
Meat species adulteration imposes substantial concern to consumers in terms of economic loss, food allergy, religious observance, and food safety. Federal and state laws require that meat products be labeled as to the species they contain. Species substitutions, such as substitution of horse meat for beef and pork for sheep meat, have been reported in several countries (Matin, 1981). As mechani...
متن کاملDetection of Chicken Meat Adulteration in Raw Hamburger Using Polymerase Chain Reaction
Background: Detection of food adulteration is an important issue from aspects of food control and food regulation. This study aimed to detect adulteration of chicken meat in raw hamburger using species specific Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). Methods: Raw hamburgers including 42 handmade and 48 industrial samples were collected from 90 restaurants and supermarkets. Following genomic DNA extra...
متن کاملa low-cost method for optical tomography
introduction: in this study, arrangement of a low-cost optical tomography device compared to other methods such as frequency domain diffuse tomography or time domain diffuse tomography is reported. this low-cost diffuse optical imaging technique is based on the detection of light after propagation in tissue. these detected signals are applied to predict the location of in-homogeneities inside p...
متن کاملApplication of Morphological Method for Detection of Unauthorized Tissues in Processed Meat Products
Background: Nowadays, there is an increase of meat and animal carcass consumption worldwide. Due to the economic value of meat, the likelihood of using unauthorized tissue is possible in meat products. Based on these observations, the aim of the present study was to apply morphological method for detection of unauthorized tissues in processed meat products. Methods: In this study, a to...
